How Legos Are Made

Who doesn't love Legos, but have you ever thought about how they are made? An article on CNET shows through photos how these little blocks come to be. The photos also come from Denmark, home of Lego.

Here's an Amazing Lego Printer

The Lego printer is made out of normal Lego pieces. By using pulleys and cranks they created a Lego printer. The Lego printer is a lot similar to a regular printer but it takes longer and is made out of Lego pieces.

By using this printer, they printed a piece of paper that said "Hello World" with a small horse under it. "Hello World" is a popular computer phrase that engineers or developers use often. It signifies, or shows, that what they created works properly.

Building this Lego Printer would take many hours of hard work and patience.

Legos are used everywhere in the world by people of all ages. Also people use Legos to make videos and put them on the Internet. This first video is very interesting because a person used Legos to recreate a video game.

Most people who make these videos are very artistic. Usually the videos are two minutes which is pretty long for a normal video. It is also pretty hard to make the characters, back round, and vehicles.

Many people make art out of lego. Many photos are uploaded on Flickr so people can see the lego art that people make. This photo is a very famous piece of art work. If you look closely, you will see that it is an image of the famous piece of artwork Mona Lisa. But this Mona Lisa is made out of lego!

Now this is a group of pieces of artwork. The fifth one is Mona Lisa. They are all very famous pieces artwork. All of these pieces of artwork are made out of lego. Some of this artwork is on flickr, a site where you could upload your images. Many people upload photos of their lego artwork. A lot of people do lego art.

Nathan had a video of how he was making a cello out of lego. Why are so many people interested in lego art.

Nathan Sawaya was born July 10, 1973. Nathan is a artist who builds sculptures out of lego. Nathan was born in Colville, Washington, and he was raised in Veneta, Oregon. In my other post, I wrote this information but it wouldn't hurt to write it again. Nathan has created some of the best pieces of lego artwork since 2,000. He made a life-size tyrannosaurus rex! He made models of many characters from animations and cartoons including Curious George. Nathan is a very talented lego artist who made a very big amount of artworks. Nathan also made a very huge self portrait.

The Lego Artsist

Nathan Sawaya chooses not to sculpt out of clay but Lego's. Nathan was busted on Mythbusters that a ball of Lego's will not crush a car. Nathan started in 2000 and lives in New York. His childhood dream was to have fun. After college he discovered Lego's.

Nathan's art is in South America in the show titled, The Art of the Brick. Nathan was born in Colville,Washington and raised in Veneta, Oregon. Nathan's newest work is Circle Triangle Square.Today Nathan has more than 1.5 million bricks in his New York art studio.

Hello World! A Lego Printer that Works

Watch the video below. The printer in the video was built from scratch by Squirrelfantasy, a member of the B3ta forums, which is a geeking engineering group online. Here’s his description from the YouTube page:

Lego felt tip 110″ printer connected to an Apple Mac. This is not a kit you can buy and does not use mindstorms. I designed/built/coded it all from scratch including analog motor electronics, sensors and printer driver, the USB interface uses a “wiring” board.

Use the above description to write a news story about this videoclip. Include information such as what do you like about it and what skills would be involved in building a printer with Legos.
