Two Gentlemen of Verona, by William Shakespheare

Two Men of Verona ( by William Shakesphere) is coming to a park near you.

This weekend (see times and place below) marks the free performance of this Shakespearian classic. This show may be in old English, but it has been reimagined in a more modern setting.

Two Men of Verona is about two men, Valentine and Proteus, that live in Verona. Proteus falls for Valentine's glamorous new girlfriend, Silvia, and dumps Julia. Julia dresses up as a boy, to attempt to win 'her guy' back with a dog and some fun 60's music.

About William Shakespheare
William Shakespheare was baptised on April 26th, of the year of 1564. He was born in a town called Stratford-upon-Avon. As you probably know, Shakespere was a famous poet and playwright. He was voted the best English poet is American History. He wrote 38 plays,154 sonnets, and two long narrative poems, and several other poems.

At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, and had 3 children, two twins,Hamnet and Judith, and Susanna. Between the years of 1589 and 1592,he started a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part-owner of a playing company called Lord Chamberlain's Men later know as King's Men. He is appeared as retired in 1613, then died 3 years later.

Hamlet visits San Francisco

Hamlet, by Willam Shakespeare, is visiting San Francisco on Sunday, February 14, at 2 p.m. It will be played at the Ingleside Library (Ocean Ave. and Westwood Park).

Hamlet, a Ghostly Tale of Shakespeare

You all can go on Saturday to the great Hamlet written by Shakespeare.

This ghostly tale is about a prince whose father died. Hamlet, who is the prince, suspects his mother in the murder because a week after Hamlet's father's death, the queen got married to Hamlets uncle. Hamlet had a girlfriend named Ophelia.

This takes place in Noe Valley, 451, Jersey Street, at the Noe Library.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors

There is an upcoming free play in The Presidio's Main Post Parade ground Lawn. It is going to be a smash hit. The play happens on Saturday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m.

This ghostly tale of a prince whose royal family is disrupted by revenge and corruption is considered to be one of Shakespeare’s finest commentaries on morality and the human condition. Set in the medieval court of Denmark, the show features Shakespeare’s most famous soliloquy, ‘to be or not to be’ and other familiar language that will be readily recognized!

The set (hand-painted by award-winning scenic designer Serina Serjama whose work with Santa Barbara and San Jose Opera Companies has been widely acclaimed) and period costumes conjure up Elsinore, the medieval Danish castle in which Hamlet is set. The performance also features a professionally choreographed sword fight! This production is directed by Rebecca J. Ennals, who staged last year’s tour of Romeo & Juliet that played nearly 200 times all over the state.
