Two Men of Verona ( by William Shakesphere) is coming to a park near you.
This weekend (see times and place below) marks the free performance of this Shakespearian classic. This show may be in old English, but it has been reimagined in a more modern setting.
Two Men of Verona is about two men, Valentine and Proteus, that live in Verona. Proteus falls for Valentine's glamorous new girlfriend, Silvia, and dumps Julia. Julia dresses up as a boy, to attempt to win 'her guy' back with a dog and some fun 60's music.
About William Shakespheare
William Shakespheare was baptised on April 26th, of the year of 1564. He was born in a town called Stratford-upon-Avon. As you probably know, Shakespere was a famous poet and playwright. He was voted the best English poet is American History. He wrote 38 plays,154 sonnets, and two long narrative poems, and several other poems.
At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, and had 3 children, two twins,Hamnet and Judith, and Susanna. Between the years of 1589 and 1592,he started a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part-owner of a playing company called Lord Chamberlain's Men later know as King's Men. He is appeared as retired in 1613, then died 3 years later.
