Mrs. Carvajal teaches kindergarten and first grade. She has been teaching at Hillwood for four years. A typical day is as follows. First, they do calendar. Second, they do math. Third, they have recess. After that they have snacks. After eating their snacks they have reading and then lunch. They have a story which is followed by phonics and science or social studies. Then they have recess again with snacks and writing.
“I like seeing when kids learn something new, they get excited and they think that they're smart.” says Mrs. Carvajal. She has a son named Leo. He was born on March 31st, 2015. She says that Leo is a strong willed, inquisitive baby. Mrs. Carvajal is a warm, loving person and an amazing teacher.
