New things happening in 2016

Many things have happen or are going to happen in 2016. Things like: the Warriors being 48-4 and the Bay Area is hosting Super Bowl 50! Also in November, the president elections are happening. Another thing that is happening is the El Niño.

Many things have happen to the Warriors team. Stephen Curry got injured when he played against the Houston Rockets. His injury, to his shin, made him miss many games. The Warriors, when Stephen Curry was gone, lost two games. But when Stephen Curry came back, he came back with a bang and the team won the rest of their games up to date. Also, James McAdoo and Festus Ezeli are also injured and will be out for a little bit.

The Bay Area is hosting Super Bowl 50 this year! The game is going to be held in Levi's Stadium between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. This will be the first game played in the Bay Area since Super Bowl XIX (19). The game is occurring on Februray 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, and Coldplay will be performing for the Halftime Show.

The President elections will be help on November 8, 2016. The Republicans, Democrats, and the Third Party running are Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jin Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, John Kasich, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Martin O' Malley, Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, and Gary Johnson. For the Republicans, Donald Trump is in the lead with 53.3% on polls and for the Democrats Hillary Clinton is in the lead with 52.1%.

The El Niño is an irregularly occurring series of climate changes affecting the Pacific region. It usually starts in late December. Since California is in a drought, the El Niño could help a lot. Although the El Niño is a big help to California, it hasn't impacted the state as hard as in the past.
