Walt Disney Co. used its annual shareholder meeting to announce a sequel to "Frozen," the 2013 animated hit. Disney Chief Executive, Robert Iger, was joined on the stage of San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts by "Frozen" actor Josh Gad and Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter to make the amazing announcement. "Frozen" filmmakers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will return for the sequel. No release date was revealed.
"Frozen," about the adventures of princesses Anna and Elsa, was released in 2013 and made more than $1.2 billion worldwide. Fans looking for a "Frozen" fix will have a chance to see their favorite characters on the big screen on Friday. A new short film, "Frozen Fever," will show all of the showings of Disney's live-action remake of "Cinderella."
