Camping in Yosemite: Past and future trips to one of California's National Parks

On May 6th to May 8th, the upper graders went to Yosemite. On the way to Yosemite, we stopped in a little place called Georgetown. Georgetown is a old west town which is on the way to Yosemite. We went to the the shops and restaurants and bought gifts and food. When we were walking up a hill, we saw an old school and a jail. We went in and saw the jail, but it was really tiny. There were no people in the jail, which might be obvious. We then went up the hill to see the school. I really liked the school. It was a cool school. Then we were going to go to Yosemite.
When we got to Yosemite, we unpacked our things and went on a hike to Vernal Falls. The hike had a lot of hills and it was really hard to hike up. We had a hiking pole, but not one for all of us. We had to take turns using the pole. Some people just picked up sticks for help! We finally got to the top and it was beautiful. I just loved the waterfall. We took pictures in front of the waterfall. Then we went down, and it was not as easy as going up. We went to a lodge and had pizza. We then went to our tents and went to sleep.
The next day, we went on a hike which was supposed to lead to El Capitain, but it actually lead to nowhere. It was raining and then started hailing. We went back because our teacher was cold. We went to a lodge so we could be warm. We had lunch then went back to our tents t it was until dinner. We had pizza and then went to a play that was about John Muir and was performed by Lee Stetson.
On our last day, we were going to volunteer to clean up the campground, but it was canceled. So we went to the gift shop instead and then went back to school.
