Week 1-Choosing Schools

This week I am going to be telling you how to pick the right school for you.

The first thing you want to thing about is academics.  You want to make sure that you get a good education to get a good job later in your life.  If the high schools you are applying to are schools that you want to spend four years of your life at, you want to make sure that the school is good academically.

The next thing that you should thing about is arts.  If you have a special talent that you want to carry with tour in high school, make sure you are picking a school that is organized about performing arts or any kind of special talent that you have and plan to carry with you for four years.  Yes, you may stop later in the years but to start off with, you want to make sure it is organized and perfect for you.

If you have no idea how to find this information then go to a friend that does go to the school you are applying to.  Here from them and see what they think about the school.  Even if they don't like something about the school that you are looking for, you should still go to the school to see what they say.  If the school says they have good academics then you should still apply just in case.  At least that is what I would do.

The next thing you should think about while choosing schools is, how many schools should I apply too?  You shouldn't pick so many.  If you have a long list of schools you want to go to.  If you really want to tour and apply to ten schools, apply to ten schools.  Im not going to stp you.  You just want to apply to 3-5 schools.  That way you aren't going to feel overwhelmed with so much to do.  Plus you are going to miss several days fo school.  If you miss several days of school, how are you going to get good grades?

This is just the first step of applying to high school.
