Key lime pies!

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about all Americans favorite thing....... Pie! Not just any pie though, Key Lime Pie! The creamy rich center with a home made graham cracker crust. The smell of the lime when it's done! So good! Any way this article will include the history and a recipe for Key Lime Pie. And again not just any recipe.... my moms mom special recipe! Hope you enjoy. Now I really want pie. Especially Key Lime.🍰🍰

Key lime pie was originated from a small town called, Key West. Key lime pie was created in the 19-20th century. It's named after key limes. A small fruit a little more sour than a lemon. The first key lime pie was made by, William Curry. He was Key Wests first millionaire. He didn't technically make the pie though, his cook did. After he tried the pie he thought it was so good he took credit for it. Selfish man. Anyways this is the recipe.....

Crust:Ingredients

• 1 cup  graham cracker crumbs
• 1⁄4cup  butter, melted
• 1⁄3cup  light brown sugar or 1⁄3cup  white sugar, for less sweet crust

Directions:For crust

1. Mix ingredients together.
2. Press onto bottom and up sides of pan until desired size.
3. Bake silver pan at 350F for 8-10 minutes, or dark pan at 300F for 8-10 minutes.
4. Fill!

Ingredients:Filling

• 3 cups sweetened condensed milk
• 1/2 cup sour cream

• 3/4 cup key lime juice

In conclusion I think key lime pies are the most amazing pies in the world and I get why they are made from key limes because key limes are sour and so was the man who took credit for his cooks recipe. Soooooo anoying dude. We should all agree that the cook had the skill not the guy who's name shall not be said.
