Mozart's 261th Birthday!

On January 27th, 1756, a musician was born. And that was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He was a classical musician and started playing and composing music for royalty at age five. He wrote his first opera when he was 14. He was a very brilliant man.

His parents were Leopold and Anna Marie Mozart, and he was the youngest of seven children, five of whom died when they were infants. His only surviving sister, Marie Anna Mozart, was the elder sibling. Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria and died at age 35 in Vienna, Austria. He was baptized at St. Rupert's Cathedral in Salzburg. He got his inspiration from his sister, who started playing the harpsichord when she was seven. She, as well as Mozart, composed music. When Mozart was 17, he began playing at the Salzburg court but got restless and traveled. During his final years, he composed some of his greatest hits.

Mozart was an inspiration to many other musicians and still is an inspiration today.
