Archerfish Spit Balls

When the Archerfish spots some prey up to two feet high, it will shoot a ball of spit that remains the same shape and size while it shoots in the air. When the ball of spit hits the prey the prey gets slammed into the spit and becomes stuck and is knocked into the water for the Archerfish to eat.

In Germany two scientists spent a year training some Archerfish to aim at different heights to kill their prey so they could analyze their spit. They said that the Archerfish are very smart and  they have never encountered an animal like it. They also said that there are many tool that are made that shoot out water but none like the Archerfish.
