Free the Children is a wonderful foundation that wants to end the cycle of poverty. Free the children was started by 12-year-olds who wanted to make a change.
This year free the children is having its 2nd annual we day were stars come and make speeches about free the children and why poverty should be stopped. To get to "we day" you can't just buy a ticket. You have to earn it by doing one local service and one global service and then you write a story about what you've done to help and if they like it then you're going to "we day."
At Hillwood the 5-8 graders had a presenter from Free the Children, and she was very inspiring. But the best surprise of all is that "we day" is going to be here in the Bay Area.
