Manga/Anime Rampage

As you know, fellow Hillwood graduate/Herald member is a manga/anime addict. And guess what - she rubbed it on me. Brigette, also my my best friend, kept influencing me with her manga collection and I started wanting to read more and more! Although I'm a fanatic of several manga books, I'm not as knowledgable about this as Brigette. (Refer to this page for a full Manga/Anime explanation: http://thehillwoodherald.blogspot.com/2009/10/awesomeness-of-anime.html)

Just wanted to update for those who are reading. I am currently .........
*re-reading Fruits Basket (aka Furuba)
*reading Marmalade Boy (current favorite!!)
*reading Kaichou wa Maid-Sama (the main female character reminds me of Brigette)
*planning to read The Devil Does Exist (I watched the Taiwanese Drama re-make of the manga)
*planning to read Itazura na Kiss (aka It Started With A Kiss and also, I watched the Taiwanese Drama re-make of the manga)

*planning to finish Hana Yori Dango
*Planning to read Sailor Moon
*Reading MARS (In Chinese >> I couldn't find the English version at the library)

And what with the recent Eclipse movie, I've decided to re-read Stephenie Meyer's books as well! I just finished reading The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner which is about a new-born vampire that exists in Victoria's army against the Cullens. The book explains how exactly the war was prepared. People who liked the Twilight Saga should read this book too.

I am currently .......

*reading Pictures of Hollis Woods (for Summer Reading at my high school)
*reading the Vampire Diaries Series
*planning to re-read New Moon
*planning to re-read Eclipse
*planning to re-read Breaking Dawn

Maybe I can buy some of these books at Green Apple Bookstore on Clement Street......

All of the manga books I mentioned above are Shoujo type, meaning they're more aimed at for teenage girls to read. If you want other types of manga books, please result to either fellow Herald members, Brigette or Darien!
Images, from top to bottom: Marmalade Boy, Vol. 1; Fruits Basket, Vol. 6 w/ Momiji on the cover; Maid-Sama, Vol. 2

  2. Hana Yori Dango is the creator of "Boys over Flowers", it's not the name of the series. Sadly, due to the mangaka's sudden death, the series of "Itazura Kiss" came to an abrupt end.
Also, it will be difficult to find MARS, or any type of manga, for that matter, in traditional Chinese. Most manga that you will find in Chinese will be in simplified. Tell me if you want to borrow any more of my manga, Irene.

  3. No, I'm pretty sure Hana Yori Dango is the name of the series. And, I couldn't find any of the English versions of MARS; the library only had the Chinese versions (in Traditional though ^^).

  4. Never mind.. I got confused. "Hana Yori Dango" is the Japanese name for the series; Yoko Kamio is the creator.
