SF Historical Eats

If it was 1886 and you were at Fior d’Italia in North Beach, a nickel would net a main course of sautéed veal, or the true epicure, calf brains. San Francisco Eats, is a free exhibition opening Saturday at the SF Main Library where you will regale in culinary trivia. SF is a bona fide food town and this exhibit provides the evidence. Check out menus, photographs, historic cooking gadgets and restaurant ephemera thru March 20th.
