Hamilton : An American Musical is a play about,
surprise surprise, Alexander Hamilton. It has 49 songs altogether. It tells how he was the first U.S. Treasurer. It tells the story of his life in song form. These are those songs.

Most Hamilton songs have a connection to one another. Sometimes the connection is in the lyrics, but most of the time, there’s a connection with the beat or music in the background. For example, the first song is called Alexander Hamilton, and that song tells how Alexander had gotten to America, and his life
before that on the islands of Nevis and St. Croix. That song has many of the
connections for the songs from the background music. Another example is that most of the songs have the lyrics “Rise Up”, “Just You Wait” and “I Am Not Throwing Away My Shot”.
