Tomorrow I am going to be taking my SSAT test. Since I am applying to high school, I have to take this test for a certain school. Some high schools need it some don't. When you start applying to schools you will find out which schools need the score from the test.
Some things you should know about the test is that the test does cost some money. It is $20 and it can cost up to $120. There are a few few different things that cost different amounts of money. A way to get your scores costs 20 dollars. I'm not sure where the test comes from but it does help you get in to certain schools.
You're probably wondering what you're going to do and for how long. The first part you are going to write an essay. I think they are going to give you a few options to choose from and then you have a certain amount of time to write it. Every section of the test you will be tested on will be timed. After the essay you will be tested on math, language arts and other lessons will be in there as well. You'll also be tested on spelling but that is probably going to fall under language arts. Now you're probably thinking that it's going to be a short test that won't take to long. Parents, your children are going to sit in a room for three hours and a few extra minutes. Don't worry about it to much though because they will get a short break. I'm getting all of my info from a webinar about the test and how to get ready for it. If you watch one about the SSAT you will learn all of the little details about it as well.
Getting ready for it is probably the most simple part of the whole process. You can get study books from the library but what about the night before the test? The night before the test you should get a good nights sleep. If you don't you won't have the energy to work hard. The morning of the test you need to eat a good breakfast and make sure your ready to take the test.
This all of the information I can tell you about the test and how to prepare for it but for those who are going to take it good luck and don't worry about it too much.
