Jellyfish, also called jellies, are found in almost every ocean. They would be on the surface or deep in the ocean. Large jellyfish are found mostly in coastal zones worldwide.
Jellyfish have roamed the seas for about 500 million years, making them the oldest multi-organ animal. The name jellyfish has been used since 1796. The name has also been given to other animals. The jellies tentacles are used for catching prey. They sting there prey with there tentacles and then they eat it with the whole under its aboral surface.
