Domesticated Dogs Descended from a Ice Age European wolf.
Since the time of Charles Darwin, scientists have been arguing about domesticated dogs. The argument will finally be resolved because of the cheaper DNA sequencing technology. Dog domestication most likely occurred in Ice Age Europe 18,800 to 32,100 years ago. That's much farther then believed. The biologists discovered this after analyzing the DNA of 18 ancient dogs and wolves comparing them with the DNA of modern canines. The studies showed that dogs evolved from a new extinct species of European wolf. This wolf followed bands of humans who were hunting woolly mammoths.
