Last week, the upper grades had a guest speaker. come in. She talked about a program called Free the Children. It was about kids that were taken from their parents and brought to a carpet factory. The children were forced to make carpets. Until, a 12 year old boy stood out and told the world what the kids were made to do. The kids were taken to their real homes by inspectors. The 12 year old boy came home and was killed by the carpenters that took him in the first place. It was in a newspaper. Other children decided to make a change in the world. They raised money and are trying to help people who need help. People even made a we-day celebration.
