Incoming Asteroid

On Friday the 15th an asteroid called 2012 DA14 will at 2:24 p.m. Eastern time pass by earth. The asteroid is about the size of a football field.

An asteroid is a space object that revolves around the sun. This asteroid is going to zoom by at 17,400 miles per hour and be about 17,200 miles above our planet’s surface. Although this asteroid is not super large it is the largest asteroid to come this close to earth.
