Excited for Faust? Mephistopheles at the SF Opera!

Yes, this is actually happening! Mephistopheles is coming to the SF Opera...figuratively speaking, of course. Boito's opera Mephistopheles is an opera based on Goethe's masterpiece Faust. Many operas have been written on Faust. Gounod wrote an opera called Faust. 

The cast includes Ramon Vargas as Faust, Ildar Abadarazakov as Mephistopheles, and Patricia Racette as Margherita.
